Philosophy of Perception Workshop Schedule
The NY Philosophy of Perception Workshop was established with the aim of providing a friendly and welcoming forum for graduate students in the NY area working in the philosophy of perception to share and get feedback on their research projects. All meetings this semester will be held on Thursdays from 12-2pm at the CUNY Graduate Center in the philosophy program thesis room (time and location subject to change).
The schedule for fall 2015 is
October 15 – Nemira Gasiunas (Columbia). “Color categories, color concepts, and the graph-like contents of perception”
October 29 – Jorge Morales (Columbia). “Mental strength and the transparency of the mind”
Nov 12 – Jake Quilty-Dunn (CUNY). “Seeing objects: A case study in the under-intellectualization of perception”
Dec 5 – Adriana Renero (CUNY). “Introspection”
Any graduate students who are interested in attending (and also in presenting in the spring) or joining the mailing list should contact Nemira Gasiunas or Jake Quilty-Dunn.
